President's Message

Eleanor Roosevelt told us to “Learn from the mistakes of others. You don’t have enough time to make them all yourself.” In other words, our own life, however rich and varied, is but a drop of water in the human experience. The wise learn not only from their own experiences but also from interacting with others.

At the Shreveport Chapter of the Associated General Contractors, we are blessed to have over 300 member firms made up of thousands of people each with unique and valuable experiences from which we all can learn and grow. Through monthly meetings, educational seminars, and networking and social events, our members have the chance to stay up on local building opportunities and trends, learn from the experiences of others and work together for the good of the local contracting community.

I am honored to serve as the 2013 President of this fine trade organization. I am sure,  with the support of a stellar board of directors and a first class executive director and staff, 2013 is going to be a great year for AGC Shreveport. If you are a local contractor who hasn’t yet taken advantage of the chance to join us, now is the perfect time!
